Are you coming to Ecuador to experience the amazing birds of our country? If you are flying into Quito consider beginning your adventures at the puembo birding garden. Our staff can pick you up at the airport and bring you to the quaint nearby town of puembo where your room will open up to a delightful garden filled with tropical flowers and a variety of birds including blue grey tanagers, scrub tanagers, train bearers, the western emerald woodstar and the saffron finch among others. We serve three meals a day and you will enjoy homemade soups for which Ecuador is known as well as delectable desserts. We are happy to accommodate various diets such as vegetarianism. We can help arrange for excellent birding guides as you explore this country which, despite its small size, has a remarkable diversity of habitats with a vast number of bird species along with other wildlife and botanical wonders. We can arrange for you to visit reserves where you can see 50 to 70 different species of birds a day…. Such as toucans, tanagers, antpittas and hummingbirds.

The Gardens
The hotel is surrounded by a garden which is full of flowers and birds. This makes it attractive to nature lovers and birdwatchers. Birds seen include the Western Emerald, Scrub Tanager, Blue and Yellow Tanager and 35 other species.
